What Channel Is USA on DIRECTV and DISH?

USA Network is channel 242 on DIRECTV and channel 105 on DISH. Satellite numbers are national, so they are the same in every state, and the HD picture is on the same number. On DIRECTV, USA comes with the Entertainment package and every package above it, and the full DIRECTV channel lineup shows what else sits in each tier.

On DISH, USA is included from America’s Top 120 upward. If you enter 105 and get a “not subscribed” screen, your package is the cause, not the channel number. Our DISH channel lineup lists every channel by package.

Worth knowing: DIRECTV Stream, the streaming version of DIRECTV, has no channel numbers at all. Search “USA” in the app instead. It is included from the Entertainment package upward there too.

What Channel Is USA on Verizon Fios?

USA Network is channel 50 on Verizon Fios, or 550 for the HD feed. This is one of the few providers where the number is genuinely national, so 50 and 550 apply wherever you have Fios service. It is carried on every Fios TV plan, including the entry-level Your Fios TV package.

If channel 50 shows something else on your box, you are most likely on the HD tier by default, so try 550 first before assuming there is a problem.

What Channel Is USA on Xfinity or Comcast?

USA Network is channel 35 in most Xfinity markets, with the HD feed on 823. Xfinity assigns numbers regionally rather than nationally, so this is the common placement rather than a guarantee. If 35 is not USA in your area, it will be somewhere close by in the standard entertainment block.

USA is included in the Popular tier and above. It is not in the cheapest limited-basic package, which carries mostly local channels.

What Channel Is USA on Spectrum?

On Spectrum, USA Network is most often channel 28, 34 or 101 depending on your market, with the HD feed generally in the 700–800 range, commonly 760. New York and Dallas use 28; Los Angeles uses 34. Spectrum has more regional variation than any other major provider, so this is the one where checking your own guide matters most.

USA is carried on TV Select and above, which means essentially every Spectrum TV customer has it.

Can You Get USA Network With an Antenna?

No, and this is worth being clear about. USA Network is a cable network, not a broadcast network. It has no over-the-air signal and no local stations, so there is no antenna channel number for it in any city. Searching your antenna guide will never find it. This is the difference between USA and networks like ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, which are broadcast and therefore free over the air.

If you are asking what channel USA is on “regular TV” or “local TV,” the honest answer is that it is not on either. To watch USA Network you need one of three things: a cable or satellite package, a live TV streaming service that carries it, or Peacock for on-demand content after it airs. There is no free broadcast route.

The Sling Catch: USA Is on Blue, Not Orange

Worth knowing: Sling splits its lineup into two plans, and USA Network is only on Sling Blue. If you buy Sling Orange, the plan built around ESPN, you will not get USA at all. This catches out sports fans especially, since USA carries WWE and live NASCAR races. You need Blue or the combined Orange + Blue plan.

This is the most common mistake people make when trying to get USA on a budget streaming service. Our Sling Orange vs Blue guide breaks down the full split.

Watching USA Network Without Cable

Every major live TV streaming service carries USA except Sling Orange. On streaming there are no channel numbers at all, you simply search the app:

Service USA included? Lowest plan
YouTube TV Yes Base Plan
Hulu + Live TV Yes Base Live TV
Fubo Yes Pro and up
DIRECTV Stream Yes Entertainment and up
Sling TV Blue only Blue or Orange + Blue
Peacock On demand, not live Premium

The USA Network app and USANetwork.com only stream the live channel when you sign in with a TV provider, so they do not replace a subscription. Some USA programming turns up on demand on Peacock after it airs, which is the cheaper route if you can wait. Live events are different: the USA Network NASCAR races this fall (Las Vegas, Charlotte and Phoenix) do not stream on Peacock, so for live wrestling and live races you need one of the live TV services above. Our NASCAR channel guide lists which remaining races are on USA and which are on NBC.

What Is on USA Network?

USA has become one of the busiest live sports and event channels on cable. It is the home of WWE including Friday Night SmackDown and NXT, and it is currently carrying NASCAR Cup Series races through the championship run, which is why traffic to it spikes on race weekends. It also picks up overflow coverage from NBC Sports including Premier League football.

Alongside the live schedule it leans on hugely popular reruns, most notably Suits, whose streaming resurgence sent viewers back to the network, plus long blocks of Law & Order and NCIS. Because so much of USA’s value is live, it is one of the networks where having the actual channel matters rather than catching up later.

Note: Satellite and Fios numbers are national and stable. Cable numbers on Xfinity, Spectrum, Cox, Optimum and Mediacom are assigned by local service area and do change, so the numbers above are the common placements rather than guarantees. Confirm with your own guide or the Channel Finder.
