Quick Answer: DISH channel numbers are the same in every state, so ESPN is 140, USA Network is 105, AMC is 131 and CNN is 200 wherever you live. New customers pay $94.99 a month for America’s Top 120, $104.99 for Top 120+, $114.99 for Top 200 and $124.99 for Top 250, locked for 2 years, plus taxes. After the 2 years, DISH’s own site lists $107.99 to $132.99 a month.
Last checked: 12 October 2026. New-customer prices and package details come from DISH’s packages and price guarantee pages, read that day. Prices for current customers come from a Cord Cutters News report of 7 October 2026. The numbers for ESPN, USA Network, AMC, CNN, Discovery, TLC and Hallmark Channel were matched against dish.com the same day.
How Much Does DISH Cost in October 2026?
DISH sells four main English packages. Each one has a 2-year price guarantee, and the price covers the package, your local channels and a Hopper 3 DVR. Every step up also adds one more connected TV, which matters if you watch in more than one room.
| Package | First 2 years | After 2 years (DISH’s current figure) | Channels | TVs included | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| America’s Top 120 | $94.99 | $107.99 | 190 | 1 | The base lineup, with ESPN, Newsmax, Disney Channel and E! |
| America’s Top 120+ | $104.99 | $112.99 | 190+ | 2 | Adds sports such as Big Ten Network and NFL Network |
| America’s Top 200 | $114.99 | $122.99 | 240+ | 3 | Adds NBA TV, NHL Network and Golf Channel |
| America’s Top 250 | $124.99 | $132.99 | 290+ | 4 | Adds 17 movie channels, including Turner Classic Movies, the STARZ ENCORE channels and The Movie Channel |
The fine print is short but important. The advertised price needs credit approval and eAutoPay, and you sign a 2-year agreement. If you leave early, DISH charges $20 for every month left. Taxes, surcharges, premium channels, DISH Protect and transaction fees are not covered by the guarantee.
Extra TVs beyond the ones a package includes cost $5 to $7 each a month, or $10 to $15 for receivers with more features. DISH may also charge an upfront activation or upgrade fee, depending on your credit.
What you will really pay over 2 years
The table below adds up the guaranteed price for 24 months. It leaves out taxes and surcharges, because DISH does not publish them and they change by state. Look for them on the first bill under taxes and surcharges.
| Setup | Monthly price | 2-year total | Monthly price in year 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Top 120, one TV | $94.99 | $2,279.76 | $107.99 plus equipment fees |
| Top 120, two TVs (one extra receiver) | $99.99 to $101.99 | $2,399.76 to $2,447.76 | $107.99 plus equipment fees |
| Top 120+, two TVs | $104.99 | $2,519.76 | $112.99 plus equipment fees |
| Top 200, three TVs | $114.99 | $2,759.76 | $122.99 plus equipment fees |
| Top 250, four TVs | $124.99 | $2,999.76 | $132.99 plus equipment fees |
Worth knowing: if you need a second TV but do not care about Big Ten Network or NFL Network, Top 120 with one extra receiver costs $3 to $5 less a month than Top 120+. If you pick DISH Protect at sign-up, it is free for 6 months and then costs $12.99 a month unless you call to cancel.
Already a DISH Customer? What the New Prices Mean
Cord Cutters News reported on 7 October 2026 that DISH raised its everyday prices for current customers. The new rates start on your next bill unless you are still inside a price lock. The report cites DISH’s customer rate page, which we could not open, so treat these as reported figures rather than DISH’s own announcement.
| Package | Everyday price reported for current customers |
|---|---|
| Flex Pack | $74.99 |
| DISH America | $89.99 |
| America’s Top 120 | $104.99 |
| America’s Top 120+ | $109.99 |
| America’s Top 200 | $119.99 |
| America’s Top 250 | $129.99 |
| America’s Everything Pack | $154.99 |
The same report lists a Locals Pack at $17 a month for your local ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC stations. New customers on the 2-year guarantee get local channels inside the advertised price, according to dish.com. If you signed up earlier, check your bill for a separate locals line.
Note: the two sources do not match on one point. DISH’s site says Top 120 costs $107.99 once a new customer’s 2 years end, while the report lists $104.99 as the everyday price. DISH has not explained the gap publicly, so your bill or a call to DISH is the final word.
If the $17 locals charge is what pushes your bill too high, a free indoor antenna picks up the same ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC stations in many areas. Our guide to watching TV for free explains how to check your reception before you drop anything.
DISH Channel Numbers Are the Same Everywhere
Why this matters: DISH is satellite, not cable, so its national channels use one channel map for the whole country. ESPN is 140 in every market, CNN is 200, HGTV is 112, AMC is 131. Cable providers assign numbers system by system, which is why a Mediacom or Spectrum number you find online often will not match your box. With DISH, every national channel number in the tables below applies to your receiver regardless of where you live.
There are three exceptions worth knowing, and they are the only places the national map does not apply:
- Local broadcast channels. Your local ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and CW affiliates land somewhere in the 2 to 70 range depending on your market, because DISH maps them to your designated market area.
- Regional sports networks. Which regional sports network you get, the channel that carries your local team, depends on your ZIP code, and DISH does not carry one in every market. If local games matter to you, check DISH’s channel search with your ZIP code before you switch.
- Receiver and package differences. A small number of channels can shift depending on your receiver model or package, so treat the guide on your own box as the final word.
The numbers sports fans use most are 140 for ESPN, 150 for FS1, 154 for NFL Network and 402 to 407 for the college conference networks.
DISH Flex Pack: Build Your Own Lineup
Flex Pack is DISH’s smaller, cheaper option. You start with a base of about 50 popular channels and add themed packs, such as news, kids or variety, only if you want them. Cord Cutters News lists the base at $74.99 a month for current customers in October 2026, or $91.99 with the $17 Locals Pack.
It suits a home that watches a short list of channels and can live without ESPN, which is not in the base. Our DISH Flex Pack channel list shows every base channel, what each add-on pack costs and which popular channels you would give up.
How to Use This Channel List
The tables below list every major DISH channel with its national channel number, grouped by category. This reflects the full America’s Top 250 lineup, which carries everything DISH offers outside of the premium movie networks. Smaller packages carry fewer of these channels, so check the package table above to see what each tier includes.
Use the search box to jump straight to a channel by name, or type a number to find what sits on it. The Print button saves the whole lineup as a PDF if you want it by the TV.
Search filters every table below by channel name or channel number. DISH numbers are national, so these apply in every market except your locals.

Premium Movie Channels and Their Numbers
Premium networks are add-ons you can put on top of any America’s Top package. America’s Top 250 already includes two of them, the STARZ ENCORE channels and The Movie Channel, according to DISH’s package page. On dish.com in October 2026, HBO Max costs $18.49 a month, Cinemax $10, MGM+ $8 and STARZ ENCORE $6 for the lower tiers.
Each premium uses a block of channel numbers rather than one, because you get all of its extra feeds.
| Premium | Channel Numbers | What You Get |
|---|---|---|
| HBO and Max | 310 to 315 | HBO, HBO 2, HBO Signature, HBO Family and HBO Latino feeds |
| Cinemax | 307 to 309 | Cinemax and its companion feeds |
| STARZ | 350 to 356 | STARZ, Edge, Cinema, Comedy, In Black and Kids & Family. Sold as an add-on |
| STARZ ENCORE | 341 to 348 | Encore plus Action, Black, Classic, Family, Suspense, Westerns and Español. Included with America’s Top 250 |
| MGM+ | 380 to 382 | MGM+, MGM Hits and MGM Marquee |
| The Movie Channel | 328 to 330 | The Movie Channel and TMC Xtra. Included with America’s Top 250 |
The Hopper DVR and AutoHop
DISH’s DVR is one of its strongest features. DISH says the Hopper 3 records up to 16 shows at once, stores up to 2,000 hours of recordings and connects up to 7 TVs with extra Joey receivers. The 2,000 hours is based on standard definition, so HD recordings take more room.
AutoHop skips the commercials on select primetime shows from ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC that you recorded with PrimeTime Anytime. DISH says it becomes available at varying times, starting the day after the show airs. Ask which receiver your quote includes before you sign.
DISH Latino for Spanish-Language Households
Alongside the America’s Top tiers, DISH sells a separate DISH Latino family of packages built around Spanish-language programming, with English channels layered on top rather than the other way round. If most of your viewing is in Spanish, those packages generally give you more relevant channels for the money than adding Spanish channels to an English tier. The Spanish channels listed above are the ones that appear in the America’s Top lineups.
For new customers in October 2026, DishLATINO Plus is $88.99 a month for 190 channels, DishLATINO Dos is $113.99 for 225 and DishLATINO Max is $128.99 for 270, according to dish.com. Adding the Hopper Smart DVR costs $10 a month on these packages.
Is DISH the Right Choice for You?
DISH fits a home that wants a big channel list at one fixed price for 2 years, owns a place where a dish can be mounted, and records a lot of network shows. The price guarantee is the main draw, because your package price does not move until the 2 years end.
Skip it if you rent and cannot put up a dish, if you may move soon, or if your local team plays on a regional sports network DISH does not carry where you live. DIRECTV is the other satellite choice and also uses one national channel map, and our DIRECTV channel lineup lists its numbers and packages side by side.
If you would rather have no contract at all, a live streaming service lets you cancel in any month. The YouTube TV channel lineup is a fair place to compare, since it carries many of the same cable channels without a dish or a 2-year agreement.
