Hallmark Mystery took its new name on March 6, 2024. Hallmark Family was called Hallmark Drama when it launched in 2017. Some older guides and TV menus still show the old names, so look for either one. You can see every other DISH number in our DISH channel lineup with numbers.
Is Hallmark in America’s Top 120?
No, and this is easy to miss. America’s Top 120 is DISH’s cheapest main package, and its July 2026 channel card skips from Animal Planet on 184 straight past 185, 186 and 187. None of the three Hallmark channels is on it.
DISH’s packages page shows the same thing from the other side. It names Hallmark as one of the channels you gain when you step up from Top 120+ to America’s Top 200. So if you have Top 120 or Top 120+ and channel 185 shows a “not subscribed” message, your receiver is working fine. The channel is just not in your package.

What is the cheapest way to get Hallmark on DISH?
You have two routes. You can keep a smaller package and add the Heartland Pack for $6 a month, or you can move up to America’s Top 200. The Heartland Pack has 12 channels, including all three Hallmark channels, Great American Family, UPtv, OWN, Game Show Network and RFD-TV.

The cheapest route is America’s Top 120 with the Heartland Pack, at $100.99 a month. That is $14 a month less than Top 200 for the first two years, or $336 over the 24 months. But the prices are not quite like for like. DISH’s Top 200 price includes equipment for three TVs, while the Top 120 price covers one. DISH charges $5 to $7 a month for each extra TV, so in a three-TV home the gap almost closes.
Here is a simple way to choose:
- One TV, mostly movies: Top 120 plus the Heartland Pack saves the most.
- Three or more TVs: Top 200 costs about the same and adds channels such as NBA TV, NHL Network and Golf Channel.
- You also want classic movie channels like TCM: look at Top 250, which adds DISH’s movie channels.
What else goes on the bill?
DISH’s advertised prices need a two-year agreement, credit approval and eAutoPay. If you cancel early, DISH charges $20 for each month left. The prices include your local channels and a Hopper 3 receiver for the TVs listed above.
Some costs sit outside the two-year price guarantee. DISH lists these as taxes, surcharges, add-on programming and DISH Protect. That means the $6 Heartland Pack is not locked, so DISH can change its price. DISH Protect is free for six months on some offers, then $12.99 a month unless you call to cancel it. DISH does not print a dollar figure for its surcharges on the packages page, so check the “taxes and surcharges” line on your first bill.

Hallmark Family and Hallmark Mystery also show holiday films, and they are where many older Hallmark movies play again. If you only care about new premieres, Hallmark Channel on 185 is the one you need.
