How to Access These New Channels on Roku
All of these channels are available through The Roku Channel app, which comes pre-installed on every Roku device. There is no account setup or separate subscription required to access any of them. Simply open The Roku Channel, navigate to the live TV section, and the new channels will appear in your guide automatically. Every channel on this list runs on an ad-supported model, which means you watch periodic advertisements in exchange for completely free access.
Why Is Roku Adding So Many Free Channels
At a time when most streaming services are raising their subscription prices, Roku is moving in the completely opposite direction by expanding free content month after month. The strategy is clearly working too, because Roku reported record revenue in 2026 and expects to surpass 100 million streaming households before the year is out. The more free channels Roku offers, the more time viewers spend on the platform, and that directly drives the advertising revenue that funds the whole model.
Conclusion
Roku has added nearly 80 free channels in the first half of 2026 alone, covering sports, news, classic TV, kids programming, nature, lifestyle, and international content, and every single one of them is available right now on any Roku device without a subscription fee. The most recent additions as of this write-up are FIFA Plus Women, FIFA Plus Espanol, Sports Illustrated, and Stingray Hooked, all added in June 2026 just ahead of the FIFA World Cup. This list will be updated as Roku continues adding more free channels throughout the rest of the year.
